Kittin' 4 Nickles

I found out quick that knitting can be expensive, BUT yarns that are cheap because they're ugly or thin and be incredibly cheap. The yarns that people think are ugly on the spool or in the skein are sometimes extraoridarily lovely knitted.

Elastic-Bottom Neck Warmer

I created this for a friend who rides a motorcycle...with a double-knit shell and a single-knit plush lining it should keep him toasty.

First Bag

This is my first attempt at knitting a bag, it's small and very simple with an i-cord drawstring. I had considerable trouble with the bottom and had considerable help including my instructors Graciela (http://gracielandcrafts.typepad.com/my_weblog/), Susan (http://memoirsyarnaholic.blogspot.com) and Crystal (http://crystalkini.blogspot.com/). My bag is very VERY simple and nothing compared to the beauty of these ladies work so don't think that i can knit anything that they did. My fondest Thanx ladies. The bag was created from no patern and on the red ITA loom with 4-ply red heart acrylic verigate yarn called Wild Berry. I knitted this for my mother, but I'm finding use of it now...LOL Again I HATE the pic...I CANNOT get enough light in here! 05-06

Fourth Project

Probably my favorite project...my plush hat...mate to my plush scarf. I started with a 5 over 1 chunky stitch so it would be thick, but near the end I started to run out of yarn and the color had been discontinued so I switched to a (2/2) half stitch. It didn't turn out so bad...thanx to Chele (http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/koalachele/my_photos) for "tweaking" my pic...0406

Third Project

This is my third project and first hat. It's created from 4-ply chenille using a double stitch. I tried to make several pom-poms, but they were either too thick, thin or lop-sided so I just sewed the top where I drew it closed with a whip-stitch. March 06
